I will admit to being very sceptical about hiring home health agency support. I have read and first hand negative accounts I have heard made me wary of hiring support for my mom. I say this because my vetting process has been thorough and my expectations high. Inviting strangers into your home and trusting them with loved ones is a real risk. Our experience with Gentle Hands Home Care has been surprisingly positive so far. They listen well and do their best to match clients and nurses along cultural and personality lines. They are accessible and bring a personal touch from the case worker to the assigned nurses. My mom was resistant to having home support. I was surprised how quickly she connected with the assigned nurse aides who were personable, gentle and engaging. If anything changes with this experience, I will update this review. So far, so good. It gives me faith that there are caregivers who are patient and care focused, while being professional, compassionate. polished, credible, and accountable for the experiences they create.
